There are nine Ramen shops located on the two basement floors of the museum. The ambiance is based on Tokyo 1958 old town. 1958 is the year where the first instant Ramen was invented.
These shops feature a Ramen from different regions in Japan. This means that you will have an instant taste of Japan's region-based Ramen.
Of course, you will not be able to taste all of them unless you have a gigantic tummy and infinite money in your pocket. But, the good thing is that these shops offer a ‘mini ramen’ so you could taste a small portion of it.
It was a nostalgic feeling when we explored the museum's replica of Tokyo 1958 old town. Ramen can be purchased through the vending machine, usually placed at the front of the store. Tickets from the vending machine should be presented to the store.
The first floor of the museum displays the history of Ramen in Japan. It showcases variety of noodles, soups, toppings, and bowls used across Japan.
