Hirosaki Park has over 2600 sakura trees of different variety and it offers pleasant picnic areas, cherry blossom tunnel, flower carpet (petals covering the surface of the water), and a festival that held annually from late April to early May.
Here's an amazing scene where the entire water surface is covered by thousands of sakura petals.
There are many things to see within Hirosaki Park. You can see the Hirosaki Castle which is the only remaining castle built during the Edo era in Tohoku Area, walk around the place and take a picturesque scene of cherry blossoms, or enjoy the park's festival.
If you visit the place, I highly recommend trying Japanese food that you have not tried nor tasted before. It will be a memorable food experience.
And of course, Yakisoba and Japanese chicken barbecue are still the winners.
These are some of the Japanese food you could see when you visit the Hirosaki Park festival.
