Tokyo Prefecture: teamLab Borderless – Digital Art Museum

The teamLab Borderless is the world’s first digital art museum that was opened to the public last June 2018 and is located in Aomi Station, Odaiba, Tokyo, Japan. It showcases a world of artworks without boundaries and maps.

teamLab Borderless is hosted inside the Mori Building Digital Art Museum with a 10,000 square meters area. The digital artworks are summoned by 520 computers and 470 projectors. I think projectors are from Epson's.

My experience inside teamLab Borderless is like you are part of the Avatar world. Artworks traverse to other rooms and they seem to have life or senses since they communicate and connect to other artworks. Some of the artworks also react to your movement especially when you touch it. This place is a must on your Tokyo Tripventures, if you would like to expand your imaginations.

Check this video out to see some live actions inside teamLab Borderless:

Getting inside the place will make you understand why the museum is called Borderless. At first, exploring teamLab is quite confusing as there is no map available, however, you will get used to it and will not bother because the entire area is covered by digital artworks.
The Forest of Lamps seem to be popular among the artworks. You will have to patiently wait in line then only have like 5 minutes inside.
If you plan to visit teamLab Borderless I recommend checking their 'Notice to Visitors' note posted on their website  borderless.teamlab.art. These are some of the notes that you may find interesting:

• Using a monopod, tripod, selfie stick, etc., is not allowed.
