Arashiyama is one of the scenic and colorful spots in the western part Kyoto, especially during Cherry Blossom and Autumn seasons. The place is known for the over 1000-year old bridge called Togetsukyo Bridge also known as Arashiyama’s Moon Crossing Bridge. The river crossing the bridge is called Katsura River that runs through the district of Arashiyama.
To get to the place, you can take the Keifuku Arashiyama Main Line to Arashiyama Station. From the station, it will take you a couple of minutes, by walk, to reach the Togetsukyo Bridge and the colorful scenes that cover the Katsura River.
These photos obviously tell how wonderful and breath-taking the place is during Autumn season.
The Gaijinstar finally meets the Togetsukyo Bridge (Arashiyama’s Moon Crossing Bridge).
The Gaijinstar pretending to be in a Once a upon in Kyoto scene. :))
Before you reach the park, there is a small walkway with fences that leads to Shoraian restaurant. We simply stopped by to take some pictures.
I highly recommend not to miss this place when you get the chance to visit Arashiyama, Kyoto, during Cherry or Autumn season.
