Nikko, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a small city in Tochigi Prefecture, Japan, in the mountains north of Tokyo. A known destination for Japanese and International tourists for its famous Mausoleums.
This is Shinkyo Bridge ("sacred bridge") stands at the entrance to Nikko's Shrines and Temples. The bridge is ranked as one of Japan's three finest bridges.
It was autumn when we visited Nikko, one of the best season to experience the place surrounded by red, orange, and yellow maple leaves.
Taiyuinbyo is one of the mausoleums in Nikko, a mausoleum of the third Tokugawa shogun. Take a look at the layout and architecture of Taiyuinbyo shrine, very detailed, right?
