The Tainan Guan Gong temple (a 300 year old temple) is a first class national monument in Taiwan located in Yongfu Rd., West Central District, Tainan, Taiwan.
The temple was dedicated to Guan Gong the god of war, currently one of the most popular temples in Tainan.

Guangong also known as Gaun Di, the temple was established at the end of Ming dynasty. In 1727, the Emperor gave permission to honor it officially. The ceremony honoring Guangong has been held twice anually. The belief of Guan Di is popular in Chinese society, not only as the God of Warrior, but also the God of Wealth. There are also lots of old tablets issued by the Emperor of Qing dynasty and the "Great Man" tablet is one of the famous ancient tablets in Tainan. The statue of Guan-yin (The Goddess of Mercy) in Kuanyin Shrine is one of the three prettiest Kuanyin stattues in Tainan. And old plum tree stands in the garden; they say Prince Ning-Jing planted it, as here once the garden in the palace of the Price Ning-Jing.
